Wednesday Lent Services: February 17th - March 24, 7:30 p.m.
Sunday Church School - 9:30 a.m.
Generally I hold the new member meetings on Sunday morning or Tuesday evening…but this year I want to try something a little different.
During Lent we have a Wednesday evening worship service from 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17th. This year I have chosen to do a teaching sermon on each part of Luther’s Small Catechism on Wednesday evening. The themes will be: Confession, 10 Commandments, Apostle’s Creed, Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, Holy Communion. We will meet for six Wednesday evenings, Feb 17th to March 24.
I invite all prospective members to attend the Wednesday evening worship service (where I will preach and teach on the small catechism) and then gather after the service in the Parlor for a half hour discussion on the topic of the evening. We will finish by 9:00 p.m.
