St. Paul’s Staff
Pastor David Christensen
Pastor Christensen has served as pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Telford since the fall of 1990. Originally from Duluth, Minnesota he attended the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He served as Assistant Pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Doylestown for seven years, and has been pastor of St. Paul’s in Telford for sixteen years. He and his wife Wendy live in Harleysville. They have two daughters.
Pastor John Huber
Pastor Huber is St. Paul’s Associate Pastor of Senior Ministries. Retired since 1998 Pastor Huber served Lutheran pastorates at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, Audubon, PA and Christ Lutheran Church, Freemansburg, PA. From 1991 to 1998 he served as Executive Direcor at Crosslands, a continuing care retirement community. Pastor Huber lives with his wife Margaret in Franconia, Pa. They have four sons and seven grandchildren.
Shirley Maxwell
Shirley Maxwell has been parish secretary at St. Paul’s since November 2004. Shirley and her husband Jim live in Warminster with their daughter Annie. Shirley has served as parish secretary in churches in Bradford, PA and Warminster, PA.
Kristine Fosbenner
Kris, St. Paul’s director of music, graduated from Gettysburg College with a BA in economics. She is a lifelong member of St Paul’s. Mrs. Fosbenner has many years of experience as an accompanist both for choirs and musical productions. After two stalled attempts to study the organ, she officially began studying the organ in June of 2008. She feels so blessed to be on the music staff at St Paul’s. Playing the piano has always brought her much joy. She looks forward to enriching the worship services through the gift of music.
Diane King
Diane, director of St. Paul’s adult choir, received a BA in music from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey. She is currently employed as a music teacher by the Pennridge School District. Over the years Ms King has earned a Master’s degree from Wilkes University and thirty more graduate credits in music and education from Villanova University’s summer program. Working with the adult choir here at St. Paul’s is an exciting experience. She enjoys the processes of making music with the group, evaluating their progress, and planning repertoire for the future. She looks forward to their collaboration in glorifying our Lord and Savior through the gift of music.
Priscilla Landis
Priscilla, who directs St. Paul’s children’s choirs, is the daughter of a Lutheran pastor (father) and children’s choir director (mother). She has been actively involved in church music since the age of three. She holds a BA in Music from Lebanon Valley College and certification in Music Education from Moravian College. Mrs. Landis is employed full time as an elementary general music and strings teacher for the Souderton Area School District. Prior to teaching she served as organist and choir director for several Lutheran churches. She has been a member of St. Paul’s since 1985 and has directed the children’s choirs since 2008. Both the musical and the spiritual aspects of directing the Cherub and Red Angels choirs give her tremendous joy.
Bonnie Kooker
Bonnie Kooker has been St. Paul’s bookkeeper for 21 years. Her husband Greg is a lifelong member of St. Paul’s. Bonnie and Greg live in Telford with their two children Kelly and Dan. She is also employed as a receptionist and bookkeeper for a local dentist, and enjoys cooking and reading and spending time with her family.

Mary Beth Penjuke and her husband Tim Wolfe are new members of St. Paul’s, joining in April of 2010. You have already seen Mary Beth and Tim singing in the Adult Choir. Ms. Penjuke is a music teacher in the Pennridge School District and teaches private lessons in trumpet. Ms. Penjuke was a long-time member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Springfield, PA where she directed a handbell choir. Welcome to St. Paul’s Ms. Penjuke.

Mrs. Nancy Hillegas began service with St. Paul’s Sunday School by playing piano on Rally Day, Sunday, September 12, 2010. Mrs. Hillegas is also a new member of St. Paul’s, joining on April 25th, 2010. She comes to us from Family of God Lutheran Church, Buckingham, PA where she served as Director of Music for 23 years. Mrs. Hillegas will lead Sunday School opening music each week, teaching the children the Lutheran liturgy, church year, hymns and music related to their Sunday School lessons. Welcome to St. Paul’s Mrs. Hillegas.

St. Paul’s History
St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Telford, PA is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America ( www.elca.org ). We are located 35 miles north of Philadelphia, just off Route 309 in Telford, PA.St. Paul’s is a congregation of 800 active members. In the year 2006 St. Paul’s celebrated 100 years of ministry in Telford. We take pride in our Worship and Music ministry, Christian Education, Youth Ministry, Social Service and mission partnerships, and Senior Citizen ministry. We strive to create a welcoming environment through our Evangelism and Fellowship programs. And we have strong financial support of our congregation through our Finance and Stewardship programs.
Stated simply, our mission is to worship, to serve, and to learn.
St. Paul’s has been served by Pastor David Christensen since 1990. Pastor Christensen is a native of Minnesota and received his Masters of Divinity degree at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Pastor Christensen and his wife Wendy live in Harleysville, PA. They have two adult children.
