When? On Saturday, September 28th, St. Paul’s members will be having a three-course progressive “dinner” of hot appetizers starting at 4:30 pm, and then proceeding to the next host at 5:30 for cold appetizers, and the final course of sweet appetizers starts at 6:30.
What? The menu is up to those who are attending and is based only on appetizers: hot, cold, and sweet. As finger food, hors d’oeuvres, or mini-whatevers you call them, the goal is to serve them when you arrive at the home of your host, and please bring napkins or small paper plates, or whatever is needed for guests to serve themselves.
Why? Well people love to socialize and who is better at that than the members of St. Paul’s? People love to taste different treats and many of our members are pretty good cooks and let’s be honest… there is never enough time in the narthex to speak with everyone as we commune with one another and share in the Lutheran faith.
Who? If you intend on going there will be a sign-up sheet in the narthex. Please print your full name once, then how many in your family are attending, then put an “X” in the box if you’re bringing either a hot, cold, or sweet appetizer. The first course of our Progressive appetizer is “hot” and if you’ve signed up for that course please bring the food ready to serve. If your bringing “cold” have it in a cooler ready to serve at the second stop, if bringing “sweet” have it ready to serve on our last stop of our Progressive feast.
Where? We will need three hosts who are willing to open their home for one of the three courses in St. Paul’s Progressive “Dinner.” The host will serve only non-alcoholic beverages (water, tea, and coffee) and if you want to have an adult beverage, as a guest, you may bring that with you
