Ash Wednesday is the beginning of our Lenten journey. On Ash Wednesday we receive ashes on our forehead in the shape of a cross to remind us that we are dust and to dust we shall return.  The bookend to Ash Wednesday is Maundy Thursday, when we receive forgiveness and the cross is again inscribed on our forehead but this time in oil, as a sign of Christ’s forgiveness. Ash Wednesday service will be February 26th at 7:30 PM. Our Ash Wednesday service includes the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion.
